others believe it is better, cooler, more "real" to live in actual DC.
It's not like living in jersey in NYC. The people who give a fuck are generally losers who arrived in DC <2yrs ago, just moved to columbia heights and need to justify the significant extra expense. |

It depends what you value. Personally, I like to use my car frequently. Not necessarily to drive to work, but I like to go places. Living in DC makes that expensive and a huge pain in the ass.
Also, even if you live in the "nice areas" there are still poor blacks you have to walk around to get inside your apartment. Fuck that. Really the only tolerable place in DC is Georgetown. |

in the city you can easily walk to get everything. not so much in the burbs - especially the maryland red line burbs. |
