I need to get some sort of a watch for this stupid thing and I have no fucking idea what a non-programmable watch is. Does that mean solely an analog watch or what? Are they going to be confiscating G-Shocks?

I don't own one so I'm trying to figure out what to buy. I'd prefer something with digital or a hybrid analog/digital.

This is correct, although they've expanded the list of acceptable time pieces since the 2009 revision because of popular protest from students, so you can now also wear Patek, Jaeger, or Vacheron.

I remember distinctly at the local meeting there was pretty intensive lobbying from the Zenith and Audemars groups--they had brokered an informal agreement in the weeks before to coordinate efforts. Alas, they did not succeed: Zenith (and Audemars and many other makers) are still on the NY bar's infamous "Black List."

Programmable vs. non-programmable watches is covered in NY practice. Study your outlines, tard.

there's a cardozo 2nd cir opinion from 1917 discussing pocket-watches versus wristwatches before delving into levels of programmability.

Unfortunately, the Court's ultimate settling on a "sliding-scale" rule leaves much to be desired in the way of clarity.

Can someone link to the instructions for what we can/can't bring in and all of that kind of stuff? Where did you find this restriction
