We're in a deflationary environment, meaning that debt which is in nominal terms will take less dollars to pay off in the future. Assuming a steady income stream, you should be able to sock away ~10% of your debt every year, worst case scenario. Factoring in interest & deflation, I'd say around 10 years of doing what you are right now.

if you aggressively pay down you can get it in 5 or less. maybe if you adjust for NYC you can get it down to a reasonable (70k or whatever) amt and drop out of biglaw after 4 years.
