what a fucking joke:
----
Gumpert added, “The current talent deals are: O’Russell: 9%; Cooper: 9%; Bale: 9%; Renner: 9%; Lawrence: 7%; Adams: 7%.”
Pascal’s email response to the news of Lawrence making less than her male colleagues—despite the fact that she’s far and away the biggest star of the picture, since Hustle was green-lit after The Hunger Games—was: “there is truth here.”
---
she's literally not anywhere close to anyone on that list in terms of talent

IMDB lists the billing order as:
Bale, Cooper, Adams, Renner, Lawrence.
O. Russell was director.
The only person getting gender-fucked is Adams (#3 listed actor/actress), not Lawrence (#5). Whether or not Adams is as famous (and thereby, worth as much $$) as the rest is certainly debatable.

Exactly. If there is a complaint to be made, it's that Cooper got more than Adams.
Bale is a Hollywood A-list guy, and had top billing. No surprise that he got the best deal possible.
Seems that SJWs don't realize that JLaw isn't #1 star in every movie she's in.

Why does the hacked spreadsheet show that only one of the sixteen Sony executives who earned over 1 million was a woman? That's NOT okay (16:1) because there should be more female millionaires.
And another thing, these executives are almost all white men. What's going on there at Sony, a klan rally or what?

This Is the End earned $50 million in profits, Grown Ups 2 $48 million, Captain Phillips $39 million, American Hustle $27 million, One Direction: This Is Us $18 million, Elysium $18 million, and Monuments Men $10 million.

generally the points are calculated on profits achieved by a special purpose company that is established solely for the purposes of doing This One Movie.
this is important because that SPC is a different entity than Sony, and even thoug its basically under sony's control, there will be many different fee and compensation arrangements between the two that effect what the base SPC profit ends up being.
anyway, who knows what their deals ended up being, but the point is that "sony's profit" is totally different from the SPC's profit, since the SPC will basically be paying sony fees for shit like distribution or whatever. SPCs are very often unprofitable even if the film overall was a winner for the actual Studio (forest gump is the most infamous example. writer received $0 on his pts)
this is somewhat outdated info tho and shit evolves in this field. but this was how shit worked in the 90s and even into the 2000s. most exciting stuff about the sony hack is the possibility that people curious about the current state of production finance will be brought up to speed on the new deal structures.

plz explain?
not being sarcastic, i'm not sure what general aspect of intercompany transactions is wizzing by my head here
this isn't super specialized knowledge. the forest gump story is famous, theres some shit with schwarzeneggers later pre-governor movies that got a lotta coverage, etc.

Income equality is the biggest challenge of our time. It's outrageous a high school educated actress makes $10M instead of $15M for a movie.
