Will lower payments by like 200/month. Don't want to jeopardize DAT forgiveness, though.

Anyone know the answer to this? Trying to save like 600 a month but fucking myself on forgiveness would be life-altering (as in suicide)

doesn't PSLF just require 120 payments under any income-based plan? i don't think forgiveness is affected by switching between IBR, PAYE, or REPAYE.

OP here. On IBR in biglaw, going to clerking, with goal to go to government after. PSFL obviously the goal. Switching from IBR to REPAYE would lower monthly payments a ton during the next two years. Don't want to fuck forgiveness.

Fucking parents took out one small pre-2007 loan for some reason when I was in undergrad. Totally meaningless shit but precluded me from PAYE.

REPAYE counts towards PSLF. As does PAYE, IBR, or old school ICR.

I don't think anybody is on PSLF. If you are on one of the repayment programs, you are eligible to apply after making 120 qualifying payments.
