Earl's Easter experience at the McDonalds drive thru.

Date: March 27th, 2016 5:36 PM Author: shimmering yarmulke indian lodge So I was in the drive thru at McDonalds this afternoon in line behind a 4 or 5 year old Lexus GS. The driver takes an inordinately long time ordering whatever the fuck he wanted from the automated speaker. I order my normal meal after him.
When I get to the pay window I see here is a homeless black guy standing near the exit of the drive thru. He's standing there holding assign saying "hungry please help, god bless". This is my normal McDonalds near my house and I've seen this guy a bunch before. If I see him I usually buy him a chicken sandwich. Since it was Easter I ask the kid at the pay window to add a Big Mac fries and coke to my order and put it in a separate bag.
After paying I am waiting behind the Lexus at the next window where you get your food. After the guy gets his order he sticks his head out the window and I notice he is a figurative rat faced man, and he starts to lecture the poor teenager at the window, loud enough that I and everyone can hear:
"Did you know that there is a homeless person standing right outside your restaurant? The last thing I need is someone coming up to my car while I am stopped here getting food. It's unsafe and you really should ask him to leave or call the police. People are trying to have lunch here"
The kid says "sorry sir I will talk to he manager" and the rat faced man drives off, careful not to slow down as he passes the homeless guy. I give the guy the Big Mac meal and coke and he says "thank you very much, happy Easter, god bless you!"
For my good karma, my hot fudge Sunday spills when I turn left to get home. |

We gave my dog flea and tick medicine too just in case so he'll be fine but we can enjoy our Lyme disease for our kindness. |

He's obviously poor, but he has a satellite dish on his camper and he runs some conspiracy theory website that I actually checked out. Some reason he stays in our neighborhood and does not move on or park in a industrial area like most people do. I've talked to him once or twice and he is a little kooky but he seems harmless.
He was parked outside in front of my house on Thanksgiving and I brought him out a plate since we had way too much. That said if it were illegal for him to do what he was doing I would call the police on him in a second. I'm also going to scare him away from our area by putting security cameras and got his camper. Since he is a police state conspiracy nut. I'm all for helping the less fortunate, but not in my backyard. So I'm sure I'm part of that UMC problem. |

I order food for the bums sometimes when I see them hanging around the drive thru exits but I don’t like being accosted like that. I said I’d get him something and he proceeded to order over $20 worth of food. It just left me feeling like I was taken advantage of.
I don’t like to give money normally to fuel their drug habit but one time I gave $20 to a lady who was breastfeeding her baby on rodeo drive. It really bothered me. I know giving her the money was wrong but I didn’t know what else to do. It’s not like I can get her to a women’s shelter.
