Why is Uber advertising their jobs like crazy???

Are they really in need of drivers or do they have that much money?

Next time you take a ride that lasts ~15 minutes, imagine what that would extrapolate to over an hour. Then deduct the normal shit like gas, maintenance, insurance, etc, account for down time between rides (they are idle for long stretches), and consider Uber is taking some sort of cut on top of all that as well. I'm pretty sure Uber subsidizes the shit out of rides, especially if you aren't driving peak hours. Which is why I'm not that bullish on Uber compared to valuation.
I remember more than one Uber driver who told me Uber guaranteed him $40-50 for any hour where he did two trips, no matter how short...I figured for each of those hours Uber lost a good bit of money |
