Been kinda chubby my whole life. 6'1" 200lbs day after Thanksgiving. Started following the following diet (which isn't really a diet) and I'm down to 185 as of today. Also workout 3-4 times a week, but I've been doing that for years.

Breakfast:

4 strips of bacon and fried egg or a protein shake.

Black coffee or 2

Lunch/snack:

Salad (lettuce, tomato, cucumber, egg, green/orange peppers) and two pieces of fruit.

Several cups of coffee throughout day.

Dinner:

Steak/chicken and either mixed vegs or a salad

Anyone else having trouble losing weight, just eat that.

My point was that the ketosis diet requires less than 50g net carbs a day. Over 50g carbs and the body stops using fat/ketones for fuel. Hard to do that with fruit.
