It's generally pretty fucking easy work and can be pretty fun working with youths. You get some shit head customers, but are often empowered to shit on them.
It's a million times better than fast food; less stressful than working in an actual restaurant.

You mean being a barista or other coffeeshop employee, or being that freelancer in the corner working on his blog or some SJW thinkpiece to sling out to ThoughtCatalog?
I've taken advantage of telecommuting on occasion and I don't like coffeeshops at all. They're noisy, it's hard to get a seat, the chairs can be uncomfortable (especially if they're done in that trendy reclaimed wood), if you have to do a phone call the person on the other end of the phone often picks up your background noise. Coffeeshops also tend to have annoying hipster-adjacent music playing.
