- Gerald Ford and IKe are the only potus to have a 60% plus majority opposition party.
- There hasn't been a 60% plus majority for 38 years. The next longest streak was between US Grant and Teddy, a mere 24 years.
- There hasn't been a 2/3 majority in 50 years. The next longest streak was 34 years, again between parts of Grant and Teddy's admins.
- James Monroe had 91% of the Senate at start of his second term - that's the all time high. |
