Yes, I've been there several times. Vancouver is pretty weird, but the rural areas are nice. I've been as far north as Whitehorse believe it or not.

You can drive for hundreds of miles without seeing another car. Lots of animals, scenery etc. It's 180 and I wouldn't mind having a compound up there someday.
