Outside of that, I know people who work in random in house companies like Toyota, Mattel, various pharma companies, etc who have $200k in house jobs. Entertainment studio type jobs and insurance industry jobs pay poorly as an industry so avoid those. |

Date: August 15th, 2017 4:41 PM Author: Cocky field jap This is accurate for big companies. If you max out your salary demands, you can try for a sign-on bonus (but it's generally not a lot). Passing the salary band would require approvals to bump your title, etc, which is a real pain in the ass to get approvals for.
Also raises vary by company, some ppl get a small 2% bump every year while others get like a 10% bump every other year, etc. If you want to do it right, you need to do the buy-back -- get an offer from a competitor and have your company match. |
