We already have one 3 y/o (that was a surprise) and ideally my wife would like to be pregnant during next summer. With her cycle, it looks like best-case scenario would be end of June.
Will bump the thread to update progress. Tonight, we're buying some ovulation prediction kit. Stay tuned as sex becomes a chore! |

(1) have her take her temperature every morning and chart it - there is free software available if you want (2) buy cheapo peestick tests on amazon, both ovulation prediction and pregnancy - only spend money on expensive pee sticks once you think she is actually pregnant from several successful cheapos (don't bother going to OB until 12 weeks or so) (3) no sex or masturbation for the few days leading up to ovulation so you are fully primed when the (1) and (2) above tell you it is go time (4) even in the best of circumstances, expect to it take at least a few months, and even then, many, many pregnancies fail in the first few weeks and that is normal |

A study used dosing of 200 mg daily of CoQ10 showed increased motility after 6 mos.
I've also heard Vitamin E and Folic Acid are helpful too.

I have lots of eggs btw so at least that isn't the issue. Doc says he's not worried and I'm prob stressing myself out. I really want them to be no more than 3 years apart so I feel my window closing. |

At some point I had a sperm test done like a decade ago and I had low motility and a low sperm count (which didn't stop our having two surprise pregnancies, though).
I'll be bummed if it turns out there's a problem when we're actually trying.
I think you're on to something with the 3 year gap idea. Ours will wind up being closer to 4 and I'm wondering how it's going to play out.

I think you guys jumped on the ovulation-watch a little too early. I get that you're super eager, but you really shouldn't get to that point until you've tried a few months already. I hope this one works out, but now that you've started it'll be hard to stop all of the boner-killing fertility testing/monitoring.
Edit: We never resorted to that stuff but luckily never needed to. I always had a sense of when I would ovulate w/in a day or two, so we would just do it every night leading up to that when we were really trying. You don't want to overdo it, so to speak. |
