99% R but jfc I really need to learn python. Maybe it isn't too important but I was under the impression that R and python were like 50/50 in industry for data science but this recent stack overflow blog post (https://stackoverflow.blog/2017/10/10/impressive-growth-r/ ) showed python is killing it in data science while R, while still growing rapidly, saw most of that growth in the places where it is already prevalent (academia, healthcare, gov, consulting)

Was keen on learning Julia for awhile but that's faded

C++11 and up is pretty easy to write. C-with-classes old style C++ is hard as fuck to follow though and the stuff of wizards (or spaghetti code).

I use C# for work already, which basically occupies the same space as Java and I prefer C# as a language (and .net core in general). Microsoft has continued to improve C#/.NET, whereas Oracle has basically been shitting the bed since it acquired Sun. Plus the java equivalent of F# for playing around is Scala, which is one of the ugliest languages in existence.

I think it'll take a couple more years to really be stable though. That said, they've been progressing much faster since acquiring Xamarin
