He went from Virginia to Georgia; one of his sons eventually settled in Kentucky, where my line has been for over 200 years. We have a cemetery in Kentucky where it's only men and women of our surname, with hundreds of graves (you know--I've shown it to you). Practically every single white person in Eastern and central Kentucky and West Virginia has roots like that; that's true of, AFAIK, nowhere else in the country.
