Now that this shit is mainstream and not going up anymore I’m finally ready to invest. LJL at me thinking all the crypto threads over the last few years were flame and not actually reading them.
Did I miss the boat or is it still worth it to throw some money in?
Is there some crypto for dummies thread I should be reading about how and what to invest in?
I’m also happily taking abuse for being too much of a beta faggot to invest when the board first started going nuts on crypto.

This.
Over 6 weeks because the price will fluctuate. You're more likely to hold for long term if you don't accidentally put all of your money in at a local high.
Also, do not invest more money then you can afford to lose.

Per Exeunt, one should maintain a healthy cash balance, to make sure that one isn't forced to sell during an inevitable crypto dip. I am rebuilding my cash balances for the moment.
Once I have enough cash on hand I will resume my purchases in small Dollar Cost Average sized chunks.
I think pricing sub-400 is very reasonable. Even 500 (maybe even sub 1000) will likely be cheap in the long term. Once Proof of Stake is on the cusp of rolling out I am expecting a mad rush to buy in the markets. (In Vitalik's recent speech he speculated it could be as soon as summer 2018 for a prototype partial Proof of Stake rollout.)
Caveat; the last time it reached the 400s it also seemed as if the 300s would be a good buy. That turned out to be true, but only if one was willing to hold onto it for a few months.
