27 cities around the world where expats are happy, rents are affordable, and jobs are plentiful

Elena Holodny Nov. 14, 2017, 7:24 AM 1,887,311

Madrid, Spain

Madrid, Spain, took the third spot on the list of best cities for expats.Flickr/ajgelado

InterNations recently released its 2017 list of the best cities for living and working abroad.

City rankings are based on survey responses from nearly 8,000 people in 40 countries.

For each city, we also compiled cost-of-living estimates from Numbeo's database.

If you're thinking about living abroad, the best people to ask for tips might be the people who have already done it: expats.

InterNations, an expatriate network and global guide, put together a list of the best cities for living and working abroad, according to expats they surveyed.

To compile the data, InterNations surveyed 7,985 expats living in 40 countries. A city had to be mentioned at least 45 times to be included. City rankings were determined based on the quality and cost of urban living, quality of work life and finances, and ease of settling into the city.

We also noted the cost of necessities (and beer) there, based on figures from Numbeo. All amounts are in US dollars and are current as of November.

Here are the best overall cities for expats in 2017.

as someone who was born in america, like you, i highly recommend moving to whatever land your ancestors are from

it was inevitable, but i honestly think whites are just beginning to realize how out of place they are in america. 200 years doesnt outweigh the millenia your great-grandfathers and the men before them lived in their native lands

i think if you do actually relocate, youll feel a spiritual, almost divine, connection to your native lands. its quite sublime.

IIRC, it is like the last homogeneous cumskin country left on earth.

think about what your ancestors would think if they knew that their progeny would leave their native lands to invade some other foreign land and kill the natives and then procreate with the remaining ones + other imported tribes to create a mutt nation

they would probably be shocked. your ancestors fought for poland and died for it. their blood literally runs through polish soil and youre giving that up to live in some new foreign Red Mans land

have you ever even been to poland? i think if you visited, youd reconnect with long-lost relatives, experience the same culture of your ancestors, and feel a connection to the people around you that you dont feel in america

and if you have already visited poland but didnt feel this kind of connection, you've lost your roots and where you came from...to me, thats lamentable

It's cheaper than that, too. Paid 550 Euros/month warm ( with all utilities and internet) for a smaller one bedroom in a good neighborhood, then 690/month warm for a big one bedroom right in the center.

Those are English-speaking relocation service prices, not German prices.

Comparing these expat cities to the COL of NYC is total nigger... Let’’s just pick one of the most expensive cities in the western world and compare it to random shit cities and call it expensive.

You do realize that 95% of America doesn’t live in the New York metro area.

Prague? Really? That’s like St. Louis on a good day.
