how do you do this? I've lost touch with a few good friends because they're far away.
we used to chat and then I'd visit them or vice versa, but now we've drifted apart and grown older. no beef or hard feelings between us.
I don't like having bullshit convos with people so it's hard to know what to say to them. when you have a shared context it's easy to find things to talk about.
idk. it just feels too weird like something just broke and you can't get back in the groove just talking online or on the phone.
but IRL I know I've met up with old friends and it felt like we were right back in high school within seconds.

sorry bro.
TBF people sometimes go different ways in life.
I had one good friend, artsy dude, who started dating some TURBOLIB chick. meanwhile I went off and got a good job, blah blah blah, and became a bit more conservative. I felt like I had to hide parts of myself, both my beliefs and even talking about stuff like taking expensive vacations or whatever. it just didn't feel natural.
also seen a lot of friends split off into 30something party animals vs. settled down with kids. a lot of the guys with kids hardly speak to the party animal guys and pretend they never behaved that way.
just weird.
