I feel like with the expansion of the intellectual property base Disney should now feel free to take a more exploratory, auteur style approach to some of these renowned franchises. I'd love to see a softly erotic neo noir tone poem involving Jean Grey and the Hulk, for example; or a political character study of Xavier in 1980s Washington, DC, immersing himself in the innerworkings of senate subcommitte governance; even a technical educational video hosted by Donald Duck and Lisa Simpson where the primary focus is explaining the wiring diagram for the 1970s series Cadillac Eldorado but there are unraveling hints of Donald's dual impulses of lust and violence toward his co-host
