Saw Last Jedi earlier today; it's starting to sink in

The movie broke a lot of Star Wars conventions, like using flashbacks. A lot of the designs were over the top even by prequel standards, and a lot of the effects had a cartoonish feel.
It was also weird how they used a lot of modern idioms. Poe actually says "Big ass gun"
A lot of it had the pacing and stylings of a LOTR movie, come to think of it |

The opening battle is really good, and it's not quite anything from any other SW movie

Then, at the end, it is revealed that if s ship goes to light speed through another ship, it can blow up the other ship even w it’s shields up, so the bombers could have just jumped to light speed and suicide exploded all the first order ships from the beginning.
