Anyway, I think the Falcons will win. They are peaking at the right time like last season; Foles is extremely inconsistent & I wouldn’t trust him against Atlanta’s D. The Eagles lose a lot of their home advantage against a dome team because it’s going to be in the 40s, not below freezing. Plus the Eagles D has really dropped off as of late. |

Foles is such a high variance quarterback that you can't count on them definitely covering. In order to win, they will have to run the ball well and play sound D. Passing game should either be 3 step drop grip and rip or play action deep balls. If Foles holds the ball, he falls. I am guessing it's a low scoring game. 20-17 Eagles with a Jake Elliot game winning FG is my prediction.
On the other hand, Eagles beat them 24-15 last year when the Falcons were regularly dropping 40 on everyone and anyone, so that may be reason for optimism. Granted, Wentz was QB'ing then. They'd be 10 pt favorites if he still was. |
