Applied to BigLaw thru partner who sent my app materials to recruiting. Chances?

Partner I emailed is very senior, chair of his group. He sent my app materials to the firm's attorney recruiting staff. Resume is solid, though I've never done BigLaw (govt enforcement for past year). GPA is below cut-off mark, FWIW. No relevant openings posted on their site.
