career tips for nojerb?

second-to-last summer coming up and nojerb, have one oci interview left for summer at the biggest shitlaw mill in the area, but it's a long ass drive out to the suburbs and I'm not really excited about that. There's an event at school that might be a thinly disguised recruiting event with another shitlaw office I'd rather do, but idk what that's all about. I'll give them my resume.
I have about 110k in savings but I put my notice in to quit at the start of this summer, not expecting to get no jerbed.
Is it time to give up on law and just look for a different job in shitbanking? |

These were done after the regular oci week, because I was away with the guard during that week. I believe this worked against me. I applied to a midlaw firm during their regular oci, which was later, and got the call back but got dinged (which was odd....two of the partners I met said "im sure you're going to have multiple offers"). I waited four months for the spring oci and applied to a biz shitlaw firm that was just a resume drop, and the shitlaw kings mentioned in op. And the county prosecutors rejected my oci application--my jaw hit the floor when I saw that. Perhaps your career services officer is right. But at least it gave me something to do, something to dream about.
Anyway, you need to find something to do, even if its just interning for free for a local shitlawyer. Resume gap is even worse than being autistic. |

You are too new to go solo. But you can learn litigation in a state gov job or internship. Apply to to work as an intern at state gov agencies, there are a million. Look at midsize firms as well - there are a lot of midsize firms in your state that love the order of the coif ttt grads. |
