Patrik Elias night at The Rock -- my favorite player of all time. Hopefully the telecast doesn't include too too much BS sanctimony has the Devils try to rebound from two consecutive hard luck lossses

did not even know about this Grabner trade until just now. The Vatanen trade was a bit disappointing (though it's hard for me especially to evaluate D) so hopefully this helps aid in the push to the playoffs

Speaking of Vatanen, every time this guy touches the puck in the offensive zone, he throws it at the net. Does not matter where he is, what the situation is, what the shooting lane is. I am not sure I've ever seen him make a pass from between the offensive blue line and the end line.

Getting pucks toward the net is a decent strategy but I can't help but feel maybe there are some situations where it's more appropriate to develop the play

Palmieri blows it past Halak from the high slot! upstairs, between two defenders closing in off the entry to tie it up at 1 halfway through the 3rd

Also that Vats trade was WIN. He is a young top 4 D and he has scored 80% as many pts as Rico. Grabner could be a win if he resigns, I don’t mind the second but didn’t want to send Rykov. Hopefully he stays in the K forever. XO Taylor with two apples to keep his streak alive 1800000

Brodeur I do not like on a personal level (event at the end of his career kind of illustrate what I find grating about him--if the intrigue and scandal in his personal life don't do that enough)

Stevens was a little bit before my time, only got to see him in action a few times every year when they got deep in the playoffs being in a non-NHL market. By the time I was using the internet to watch the games every night like 10 years ago, he was already retired
