Been working out using your beginner program. It's great, but a couple questions:

-What exactly is a weighted leg tuck? Searching it brings up several pretty different exercises and my lifting bud has no clue what it is.

-I'm pretty duck footed and two of my friends both think my squatting form is likely to get me injured somehow. They suggest I stick with deadlifting and use leg press or other stuff to supplement rather than squats. Any thoughts on that?

-How long do you think it'll be worthwhile to stick with this before specializing my lifting days more?

Also sometimes when I'm done with the day's work I still feel like lifting a tad more. Any supplementary lifts you recommend doing a couple sets of?

Perhaps for most but for some reason it's incredibly hard for me to get the form right. I may just need a good hour with a personal trainer or something.

Sorry for the late af response - haven't been on the bort much recently.

1. Weighted knee tucks: https://youtu.be/5ctqn3b_4rw?t=1m23s

I call them this because they're distinct from hanging leg raises, in which there should be full leg extension. This is good for targeting lower abs. Incidentally, the above link is an excellent form tutorial; don't let this turn into a hip flexor exercise.

2. I'm fairly duck footed too, and this hasn't caused much of an issue for me. Why, specifically, do they think it'll cause injury? If I were to hazard a guess, I'd say your knees are coming too far over your feet (which is usually problematic only inasmuch as it usually indicates that you're bending your knees rather than hinging at the hips). I'd suggest a wider stance (off of a very limited, shot-in-the-dark diagnosis; more info would be wayyyy better). Incidentally, squatting is my worst lift. Mine improved dramatically 4 years ago when I watched this video series and really spent some time working on my technique (had good tech on bench/dead but was shitty at the little things when squatting): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2ME8gEN54Ao

That entire series is golden, and Matt Wenning is an excellent coach, should you happen upon any of his other resources.

3. I mean, Reg Park (3x Mr. Universe: https://goo.gl/kKjkzS | 500lb bencher: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ptB6SyXFO_4) did a 3day full body 5x5 his entire life and it worked pretty well. You really only wanna start splitting when you're too fatigued to do the same bodypart in consecutive workouts. I'd be surprised if that happened before you could hit 225 bench and 315 squat/DL for a single at bare minimums. Fatigue like that before those numbers means you really need to work on eating enough protein/calories, and sleeping enough. Foam rolling and stretching will also reduce soreness and, more importantly, increase mobility. Dynamic stretching before working out and static afterwards has been excellent for me.

Do you have a particular stretching regimen you like?
