Is there a general income level for which this makes sense? I feel like being rested is more of a function of flight time and eating weed brownies on the flight. But I have never had a lie flat seat so who knows. |

You definitely need to have a good cushion to do this. If you’re still paying off loans and not maxing out your 401k suck it up in coach. I probably spent an extra 10-11k a year on business class flights for me and my wife; if I had an extra 10k a year I wouldn’t need it—I’d just dump it into index funds.
