He added, “Make no mistake about it: A group of F.B.I. and D.O.J. people were trying to frame Donald Trump of a falsely created crime.”

Little evidence has emerged to support that theory.

Mr. Trump’s legal team has been in tumult in recent weeks. On Saturday, Mr. Trump’s personal lawyer, John Dowd, called on the Justice Department to end the special counsel investigation. Mr. Dowd said at the time that he was speaking for the president but later backtracked. According to two people briefed on the matter, he was in fact acting at the president’s urging to call for an end to the inquiry.

Earlier this month, Mr. Trump did not tell his lawyers that he was in discussions with another Washington lawyer, Emmet T. Flood, about representing him. Mr. Flood represented former President Bill Clinton during his impeachment proceedings.

Example 1: Investigator Peter Strzok willfully changed the language of Comey's exoneration letter for Hillary Clinton to make it look like she didn't commit a crime, even though the criminal statute does not require willfulness.

Example 2: Investigator Peter Strzok interviewed Michael Flynn without telling him that he was the subject of an investigation. His interview report concluded that Flynn had been truthful, but he later went back and changed his interview report to reach the opposite conclusion. Moreover, this exculpatory evidence was never provided to the defense team in the Flynn case, a violation of federal law.

Example 3: Investigator Peter Strzok had a personal relationship with Judge Contreras, the federal judge in the Flynn case who, after this relationship became public, decided to recuse himself.

Example 4: Investigator Peter Strzok, former Deputy FBI Director Andy McCabe, and several other people accepted the Trump dossier, paid for by the Clinton campaign, and started funding the guy who wrote it, all as an insurance policy to blackmail Trump. This is effectively a silent coupe designed to overturn the results of a democratic election.

Example 5: Investigator Peter Strzok, and others used the Trump dossier (i.e. campaign smear research, not FBI research) to obtain a FISA warrant to tap phones of a Trump campaign aid.

Example 6: Mueller illegally obtained Trump transition team emails.

Example 7: Mueller has been investigating for over one year and has not brought A SINGLE charge against anyone affiliated with the Trump campaign for colluding with Russia.

I predicted months ago that Mueller will foul up his investigation and lose his law license over his conduct of this investigation. I stand by that prediction.
