The last good book I read was Kazuo Ishiguro's Remains of the Day - I really liked how Ishiguro narrowed the world he wrote into Stevens' view while leaving small clues of errors in his judgments/principles that led to really grave mistakes and missed opportunities. It was supremely sad. |
