Here is a chart setting put the main composers of the Beatles songs. Maybe one was more of a driving force for th e band or wrote more of their great shit. I don't know shit about the Beatles, so can't really weigh in on this.

Because Mccartney's stuff almost never has any depth to it... their solo careers prove that point.

Though, idk if most people realise that everything from like autumn 1966 onward is 70% Paul. I didn't even know that Helter Skelter was Paul until I read it somewhere.

Sure Lenin had some German help, but overthrowing a centuries old monarchy and inaugurating a new form of society is no small feat

Imagine how much MORE respected Lenin would be if he had hair. McCartney had a thick, healthy head of hair and benefitted from this all his career.

Also McCartney has had a long, healthy life, which has allowed him to work even well past his prime on projects like Wings.

Lenin was cut down by a stroke in his prime.

Dying right after your artistic peak is CR for your artistic legacy. Imagine what Jimi Hendrix doing duets with Katy Perry would do to his legacy.

I thought everyone agreed McCartney was more talented. Lennon was more famous and better at being a "celebrity" with various publicity stunts.

I don't think there is such a consensus. There is an eternal debate.

Lennon has more a cool factor, so I feel like he gets style points that are arguably undeserved. But ranking the songs you definitely get both sides.
