Don't have pics but here's the list (w/ representative pics from internet):

-- Maurice Lacroix Moonphase Masterpiece http://www.gemnation.com/watches/Maurice-Lacroix-Masterpiece-Phase-de-Lune-MP6428-SS001-11E-15929.html (Copped for ~$3k)

--IWC vintage thin gold dress watch https://www.thewatchgallery.com.au/product/iwc-ref-1205-18k-gold-33mm-manual-calibre-401-dress-watch-from-the-1960s-in-near-new-old-stock-condition/ (Copped for ~$2k)

-- Oris Artelier Skeleton https://www.oris.ch/en/watch/oris-artelier-skeleton/01-734-7670-4051-07-5-21-70fc (Copped for ~$1.5k)

By no means claiming elite status compared to something like OP; I was just aiming for a nice, well-rounded collection of watches that all look good and aren't shitty, mechanically speaking.

The moonphase looks nice. The IWC seems awkward to wear with its tiny size. Skeleton watches aren't my style but at least it's by a decent watchmaker. Overall a very respectable collection.

Rate my current collection (not my pics):

TY. The IWC *is* a bit small, but since it's very clearly a vintage watch--and also because it's very clearly a "dress" watch--it actually wears decently. I don't think a casual or multi-purpose vintage watch that small would wear as well, but the IWC still works IMO. (I actually got the rec off of Hodinkee, if you're a fellow watch nerd.) I got the rose gold model, which I also think looks better than the yellow gold model for some reason.

I like all of yours--I think they aesthetically bat above their respective price points. The Marathon is a bit plain for my personal tastes, but the Junghans (while also "plain") is very elegant and clean looking, and I really dig that Seiko. Which is your fav?

TY as well. Which of yours gets worn the most? I'm guessing the moonphase.

I agree on the Marathon being plain, but IMO it's the best option for an entry-level monochrome automatic watch. I was considering Sinn as well (756S/856S), but they seem underwhelming, especially for the price.

Working in the tech industry, it's almost a faux pas for me to wear something other than an Apple Watch or stupid FitBit bracelet to work. I'd probably get laughed at if I wore a moonphase. jfc I need to get out of this industry

Moonphase OFS. I intentionally put a lighter brown leather band on the Skeleton, though, because I wanted to ensure that it would also see some action when I'm wearing lighter brown shoes/belt. It worked, and I never regret having it when it's on my wrist.

I've come close to buying that Oris Skelton watch a few times. It might be my next watch actually. It's basically a steal. If the movement wasn't ETA it would be 5x the price and there's nothing bad about ETA movements really.

TY, notwithstanding your obnoxious Soviet Jew schtick you seem like a man who knows what he's talking about when it comes to elegant luxury watches, so I appreciate this endorsement. Agree 100% with your assessment--I've never regretted buying it, I frequently get compliments on it, and I think it's objectively one of the sharpest looking skeletons at any price point below six figures (which is insane given how cheap it is compared to a lot of the "competitor" models). It comes on kind of a shitty looking leather band, but I switched that out for a much nicer one and it looks like a million bucks.

Do you mind my asking what other watches you currently have in your collection, and what else you have your eye on?

ML are underrated. Their in-house movements on the higher end watches are quality and the finishing and bracelet on the AIKONs are way nicer than other watches in that price range.

Its the perfect sized watch IMHO. And there are no other perpetual calendars for under $50k that I would consider. Only downside is the 38 hour power reserve. On Pateks its 72 hours but they cost 3.5x more.
