Not as bad as other hondas in this respect but definitely noticable to someone accustomed to Toyota/lexus. The CVT implementation is the best I've encountered on a non-hybrid. However it is buzzy as fuck when you accelerate at highway spends a lot of time doing what feels like hunting for a gear between 60 and 80mph. Handling and braking are surprisingly good. People who want dead quiet cabins confuse the fuck out of me especially in city driving where you crawl out of stop signs with zero visibility often enough. Otherwise its a a flip of a coin between it and the CX-5. The CX-5 has less cargo space (like 10%) but its got real gears and better handling so pick your poison. You have to pay thousands more for the upgraded trim to get a comfortable armrest, and that one has the bigger wheels which I don't like. Rear seat is also not very spacious and mine gets a lot of use.
The mileage numbers are pure flame too. I drove like an old lady for 3 days and got 23mpg. |
