How often do you need to drive on terrain more technical than an AWD minivan can handle? If you offroad for fun, just get a jeep.

Even putting aside the better layout, more space, more cargo capacity, more seating flexibility, better visibility and better mileage, the sliding doors alone give minivans more utility. Sliding doors are better in almost every way but they won't put them on SUVs because guys with small dicks won't buy them.
