I just bought tickets for fairly mediocre seats for a concert my wife wants to go to for her birthday and it cost me nearly $500. What a fucking rip off.

$100 for a metal festival. About 30 hours of metal spread over 3 days. I was going crazy by the end of it.

Sublime with Rome back in like 2014. $130 total for my wife and I, plus about $200 bucks in drinks and I kicked in $50 for weed. I went with a bunch of my bros from growing up. We pregamed from like noon on, got tipsy, got baked and had a big barbecue. Then took a cab over to the venue and partied. Awesome day/night.

Actually - my former boss and I went to Darkstar Orchestra about a year and a half ago. No clue what he paid for the tickets though.

I've been to multiple concerts in the past few weeks.

The next one I've got is Nine Inch Nails in September

Not my type of music but man it’s great live

Lamb of God is absolutely crazy live in concert. Wow.

This and a good free-$50 local or indie show are the only credited responses to this thread. Anyone else worth more than $50 is dead or washed up.

The price is right and I love some overwrought Jade Tree indie guitar shit from 2000, but do you really feel good going to this concert in 2018? Have you considered looking into some new music?

It was a little disappointing, tbh. He sounded old -- his voice is weak. His banter was also 100% reddit-level political bs. It's mostly nostalgia at this point. Adding up old Pedro + solo + house shows I've seen him live more than any other band.

bought full weekend P4K passes but had a wedding and otherwise a babby so only went Friday for a couple shows - weekend passes bought early were like $125 or something

concerts are so expensive, tho (re: $500 you mention, OP) -- are you going to the Beyonce/Jay-Z tour? insane costs I've heard.

Soundgarden in Ft. Myers, $40 for the tickets. Smoked a fat blunt with some kids down by the front right before the set, almost had an out-of-body experience. Cornell killed himself like 3 days later completely ruining my plans to see soundgarden again. Rob Zombie was on the next day, as were Megadeth and Anthrax. Good show overall.
