But it's gotten a little out of control and trendy to act like veterans are shunned from receiving credit and are entitled to whatever they want because they served in the military. Also, if you *are* a jingoist fascist asshole who believes that "armed forces" are in any way needed or admirable in modern life, you'd have to honestly admit that many of these people signing up are not doing so out of ideals but are instead just lower-class losers trying to get a better life than the other they'd otherwise have. It's pathetic, not admirable. If you want to admire someone, admire artists, teachers, journalists, and female CEOs.
