Tom Arnold calls cops on Mark Burnett after Emmy fight over Trump tape

Tom Arnold contacted the Los Angeles Police Department on Sunday night after he was allegedly attacked by Mark Burnett at an Emmy party in Los Angeles.

'Mark Burnett just went apes** & choked me at this huge Emmy party then he ran away with his torn Pink shirt & missing gold chain. I’m waiting for LAPD,' wrote Arnold on Twitter shortly after the fight.

Multiple people who witnessed the fight told DailyMail.com that the two men were shoving one another but it was unclear who was the aggressor in the situation.

Buffy star Alyson Hannigan, who was also an eyewitness, wrote: 'Walked n2 party behind Tom Arnold and saw him & Mark Burnett get into a fight!Thought it was a joke until security jumped in! #WhyIstayhome.'

She then added: 'Jeff Probst tried to break it up…CRAZY!!!'

Arnold has been chasing Burnett for months now in an attempt to get tapes that he believes show President Donald Trump making a number of racial and derogatory comments while filming The Apprentice, which was produced by Burnett.

He has a new show about this premiering this week on Viceland called The Hunt for the Trump Tapes with Tom Arnold.

Shortly after the fight Burnett's wife Roma Downey tweeted that she had been bruised in the melee, and showed off a photo of the alleged injury while writing: 'Got this bruise tonight when Tom Arnold tried to ambush my husband Mark and me at a charity event. Is your TV show worth it Tom? Please stop.'

Arnold responded to Downey's claim by writing: 'Bulls***. You lie your crazy husband attacked me you psycho. I’m filing police report & suing you for defamation.'

A number of people seemed to think that Downey was not being truthful on Twitter, noting that a bruise takes a few hours before it starts to show on the skin.

The incident occurred at The Evening Before party, a pre-Emmy event that was attended by a host of A-list television stars.

Many seemed to be siding with Arnold in the wake of the fight, with both Patton Oswalt and Billy Eichner posting photos with the actor after the incident.

'I’m with @TomArnold, everyone. He’s okay. We gotta protect this brutal angel,' wrote Oswalt, who also took a selfie with Arnold that showed his face looking red and scratched.

Eichner also posted an image of himself and Arnold, writing: 'Here I am with #TomArnold right after the fight with Mark Burnett tonight. Everyone in LA is shaken. Pre-Emmys Madness. Hold your loved ones tight.'

And Arnold suggested there were many other winesses who would back his version of events.

'FYI: Kevin Bacon is a solid reliable brawl witness. Sosie Bacon is a wingman,' wrote Arnold.

He also wrote: 'Roma knocked Bryan Fogel’s phone out of his hand after Mark Burnett chocked me. Bryan came with me. He won the Oscar this year for his amazing documentary Icarus. He has tape.'
