Fucking with my black fiancee's ex-employer over sick pay

Date: September 18th, 2018 12:15 PM Author: Rough-skinned alcoholic school My black fiancee hated her last boss so I told her to find a new job now while she still has one. She found a new job quickly, within a week, and it pays more.
She used up all her PTO, but has three sick days left. Under California law, they don't have to pay her sick days when she leaves.
On Friday, while everyone was gone, my black fiancee packed up her personal things and then called a co-worker to tell her goodbye, nice working with you, etc.
My black fiancee started her new job on Monday, but called in sick to her old job. She did this by texting her ex-boss that she hates.
A few hours later she got an email from HR, headquartered in Virginia, saying they consider the employer/employee relationship terminated because my black fiance resigned by telling the co-worker as much, and by removing her personal belongings from her workspace. They would be overnighting her last check to her.
So this morning, I typed an email for my black fiancee to HR. It said basically [I'm paraphrasing]: "I never resigned. I don't know what [co-worker] told you, but last I checked she was not a manager. I always take home my personal belongings on the weekend by the way. It turns out that I'm sicker than I thought so I am going to have to call in sick again today. Tell [boss] I'll see her tomorrow."
