Placements are kind of out of my control - it's mostly cold linkedin messaging, but since I went to one of HYP I do have a lot of friends/acquaintances I can shop to places
I work in HF recruiting, not legal.
Placements can be fucked with a looot of different things. Had a candidate who blatantly lied. Or b/c clients are dumb and they say they want X but they really wanted Y.
Almost had a candidate drop out b/c they offered her a different role - one she ended up taking in the end but still.
There's also the issue of timing. Candidate X is basically the BEST, but they "want to scout out the landscape" and now they missed the timing and she took another job.
Basically it's a lot like dating. They don't know what they really want or think they're entitled to someone much better but wont pay them that amt.
Our fee structure is basically 25% of their 1st yr salary and I hget at least 25% of the 25%, but sometimes more depending on my role in the business development side |
