To be fair,
Gorsuch -- illegitimate and "extreme" because he's not Merrick (who was totally a moderate btw)
Thomas -- libs are already starting to (re)float the idea that he's also illegitimate and extreme (and "anti-woman" as well) because of the Anita Hill shitshow
Kavanaugh -- obviously what's going on right now
This will 100% be cited as justification for packing the court with *at least* three new shitlib associate justices once Democrats retake both POTUS and the Senate (which will eventually happen). The MSM will get on board and sell it hard as "righting a historic wrong perpetrated at the highest levels of our justice system." And the GOP will be powerless to stop it. Mark my words.

definitely
also don't forget Bush v. Gore and how that makes Roberts and Alito illegitimate as well.

To be fair,
Hey now, let's not get crazy here--no one is suggesting that there is no place for "conservative"* justices on the highest court of the land. Of course there is. In fact, we *need* them; the court is supposed to be a politically neutral institution!** It just so happens that the three justices I cited are all illegitimate for reasons that have absolutely nothing to do with their political beliefs, and that's why we need to restore balance to right this historical wrong. This isn't a political thing, brother.
*As long as they're cucks who won't rule the wrong way on abortion, immigration, or race-based affirmative action.
*Not that this was an issue during the decades when the court was controlled by the Left, or that a Democratic POTUS has ever intentionally nominated a right-wing justice to "preserve neutrality" on the court. But that was different, obviously.

To be fair,
I disagree with this part. The perceived legitimacy of SCOTUS as an institution really is important to American democracy, and notwithstanding the bitching and moaning that's going on right now, the public as a whole still generally respects the court. That changes instantly for a huge swathe of the population as soon as court packing occurs and they realize what it is and what it means. And once that respect is lost, its very hard to regain--and it becomes much easier to justify simply ignoring the court. And if you're ignoring the highest court in the land, why wouldn't you start ignoring other judicial institutions, as well?
Incidentally Democrats really are almost 100% to blame for this. Blatant judicial activism across all levels of the federal bench + riling up the base for political gain with loose talk of "illegitimate" SCOTUS seats is the root cause here.
