I wish trump had nailed a real infrastructure bill and pushed the tax cuts more toward the middle and upper middle classes rather than corps and the very rich.
Dems/Obama weren’t able to get much done on either taxes and infrastructure and Trump/cons could’ve won a lot of people over long term.

I'm seeing a bit more in my paychecks for now, which I have to say is an improvement. I'm also off the hook on having to pay $3K in Obamacare penalties every year now too, which is a big plus. I also like the fact that AA is getting blown up--it's about time for that and I think we'll see some positive effects in the near and short term. We'll have a new set of problems when AA is vacated, but I'm sure we'll be able to find some productive solutions that don't involve starting new wars simply for the employment and economic development, which I would be opposed to doing. As for abortion, it really does not affect me directly, at present, but I think they should continue to leave that alone. Climate change is a big issue for me, and I'd like to see some positive NEW approaches to this besides old international agreements that don't work. If Trump said he was pouring funding into developing technological solutions for climate change and was actively exploring and testing sulfur dispersion in the upper atmosphere as well as storm-intensity reducing structures in the oceans, I think he would probably have my vote. My wife seems to like what he's doing on the international stage, so she's conflicted. She thinks--and I agree--that Kavanaugh is an entitled arrogant jerk, but that's just emotionalism on a now-moot point.

One of those things (theoretically) grows the economy in the long term, lowers unemployment, and raises wages.
The other, however necessary, is an overhead cost.
It makes sense to temporarily trade off spending in one area for another.
Personally, I think a combination of non-defense spending cuts and taxes should be used, but that will never happen.

It’s not indefensible at all.
People like you have the outlook that any taxes a person doesn’t pay is a gift from the government. Conservatives think a person’s income belongs to them and the burden is on the govt to show why the govt should get it.
It’s a fundamental difference. Neither is necessarily right or wrong but to say it’s indefensible is NPC shit

i'm coming around to the idea that Trump is the best of a lot of worlds for me - he generally helps make me rich, crushes idiots in my own party that need to be gotten rid of (Warren, Hillary, etc.) and still leaves plenty of bait to expose the idiocy of his retarded apostles
climate change, immigration, voting, and the middle east still need a lot of work, but maybe we'll get there

Yeah, that's what I'm afraid of.
But you certainly wont see any fair analysis of this anywhere.
the problem is--like most people--I'm not abundantly wealthy--so a little bit now means a lot--it's not rational--it's far from rational.
