He's also a fobbish dude, but has an LLM and his writing sample is very impressive. Easily competent to do the job, but the girls in the office are vehemently against hiring him, and even the associate who interviewed him is against the idea. Dude just wants to get his foot in the door as a freaking assistant, which he's over qualified for, and even sent a super eager and polite thank you email. Ignoring what others want, and going to hire him. He might not fit in, but he'll fit out, and do well, I recon. And be careful cuz olds lie like crazy about their abilities. Most are fine but if you've ever had an admin or assistant who can't figure out how to make a table in excel, or reliably save a document to the correct location you might notice that such people are invariably over 45. Its amazing such people exist but they are FAR more common than you might believe esp among people gunning for these low level spots. They're worse than useless.
