There are a lot of 140+ IQ people who go into tech expecting to clean up, but who get the "regular" treatment and end up miserable at 35, with no connections and no career due to the ageism of the industry. |

you can be a mid level engineer at google (like 2 promotions in) making like 300K and never be forced out, it's not like law or banking where you need to make partner/MD
and the tech hours and fringe benefits are unbeatable |
