Dallas.
Austin is full of fags and shitlibbery.
Houston has higher crime, the worst humidity I've ever experienced, and LA-esque traffic.
Dallas has relatively low COL, virtually all of the opportunities afforded by Houston, better schools (especially in suburbs - Plano West is a great example), and the suburbs are 180.

Lived in Austin and spent a lot of time in all three cities and my list is as follows.
1) Austin
2) DFW
3) Houston.
