Hamilton even said as much to Verstappen in the room before the trophy presentation. He basically told Verstappen he has way more to lose in that situation and has to be responsible for managing his race better.
I follow this guy Chain Bear on YouTube as he puts out great videos on Formula 1, and he was totally over the moon about Verstappen shoving Ocon after the race, calling it violence, etc. I was way less bothered by that. It's not like he attacked him with a lead pipe or anything lol. Yelling at him and a couple innocuous shoves sometimes diffuses the situation a bit and it doesn't spill over to the track at the next race.
One other thing about Sunday's race: wtf is going on with Mercedes' tire management? The last few races they simply have not managed their tires at all. It's almost like they're getting half the life out of the softer compounds as other teams. They're lucky this happened at the end of the season. |
