Russian launchers are cheaper per kilo be they Soyuz or Proton or Rokot or Angara. Russia has a lot of rockets.

we're going to spend the next 100 years 'trying' to do what NASA 'did' in the 1960's.

Sifting through their Glassdoor reviews. They've literally stuffed the ballot box with around 100 fake positive reviews all written on October 11, 2018. Also they have the highest rate of review removal I've ever seen (one third being hidden/removed).

Highlights from the real reviews:

- Unsafe working conditions (it is common consensus that someone is going to get killed by an industrial accident soon enough, too many close calls)

- This company does whatever it wants. They fire people whenever they want too. They answer to no one, nobody overseas the work or the people that build these rockets. When I was hired I was given a letter of exceptenced on Friday and started work on Monday no medical physical no drug scream nothing and now there going to be putting people on there rockets. How do you think they are able to launch for so much cheaper then other company's, because there not regulated like these other company's are. Somebody need to take a good look at this company and the people who are putting these rockets together

- Work life balance is terrible. The goal is 50 hours a week, but more frequently it is closer to 60 and some weeks when deadlines are approaching it hits upwards of 80

- They expect you to work like a slave. The work culture is to work from 8-10pm which is crazy.

- No concern for human life. Everyone I worked with was either divorced, dating someone at work, or in the process of getting divorced.

- The over-abundance of freshly-graduated engineers (and not yet graduated interns) is mind-blowing. Engineers are necessary, true; but with little to no hands on experience (all they know is what came out of a book) this is a disaster waiting to happen.

- Be prepared to live at Space X. Long hours, everybody smokes. Politics and backstabbing were a common sight. Accidents are common, my time there I witness 3 employees get run over by forklifts. People get fired on daily, it's pretty much a revolving door.

- Unsafe operations and installations. PPE infrequently used.

- Abusive management, lots of brown nosers, still privately held, nepotism in the machine shop management. Serrious drug abuse in this company.

- "I would not feel safe in this company's manned spacecraft."

- WALMART OF AEROSPACE

The space shuttle traveled at 18 times the fucking speed of LIGHT.

Pretty sure spacex is no where near this speed.

It was an amazing feat of 1970s engineering. Basically a reusable, relaunchable space station with a big cargo bay.

Too bad they only ever got it up to Warp Factor 3. If they weren't such pussies, they could've easily taken it to Warp 5

Pussies indeed.

The Russians copied the space shuttle. I wonder if they wouldve take the ships to the limit if they had flown them.
