I’m pretty sure a 310+ UBE score would have passed CA. If you do the math, CA’s passing would equate to ~290 UBE, even if you account for grading being “exclusionary” people posting 300+ on a UBE would almost certainly pass CA.
And no, Themis didn’t add much; in hindsight I regretted wasting time on lectures, I should have spent all of that time just doing MBEs, only did ~600 in total. You’ll ace the essays with Lea sheets by focusing on the Red and Yellow rules.
Our admin who is awaiting her CA results today told me there were only two CA specific essays in July.
The best thing I got from Themis was an MPT that was very similar to the exam, but I think you can get all those in the public domain.

I'm a lower c-level in a risk management function. The license isn't required, but I figured a "nice to have" as I can function as a corporate counsel and have work (e.g. audits, incident response) done under priv. Since corporate exception just requires a bar in any state, I got it in one I might retire to. That and the new UBE adoption makes it worthwhile since the majority of states have gone this way; I think even TX is going UBE next year.
If you're doing a solo practice, my vote is to pick a niche that businesses tend to have a real need for (assuming you're not looking to do stuff for individuals like divorce, crim, etc) and you have some prior experience gives you credibility in and doesn't make it look like you're starting off as an attorney. CSLG is a better source for solo tips since he's done it with incredible success, but my viewpoint is as a former consultant (I left before making partner), I'd focus on businesses + some function they have a regulatory or customer requirement to address.
*EDIT* My bad, the killer outlines were the SmartBar Prep ones; they had the color coded frequency tags on the rules. That pretty much is what allowed me to rock the essays.

By the way, the guy who gave me his gave me some great advice. He said to only use two things as study aids out of all the material:
His notes from the classes were these pre-printed pages with blank spaces to be filled in while you sat in the class. He had 90% of it filled out. He said to memorize those.
Out of ALL the books, he said don't waste my time with any of them except for one: The Conviser Mini Review.
Other than those two things, you just do practice tests.
