Just look who we elected - need I really say anymore???. Do you know how embarrassing it is to face my European friends with this president in office and all his divisive language? It's so bad my European friends don't even say anything about the topic that's how embarrassed FOR ME they are.
A rotten criminal justice system - at least half of criminals are innocent. It's a disgrace how many blacks we're locking up. Violent crime in our inner cities, drugs, drugs in rural areas now destroying whole towns, people coping with economic devastation by turning to meth and painkillers.
Americans are Islamophobic. Americans are transphobic (IMO the worst issue out of all the problems listed here - since this lack of inclusion of trans people in our history, culture, and art excludes them from the conversation. Conservatives, in an act of moral bankruptcy, trivialize this issue - but tbf if they were shown how many trans people are killed and threatened everyday I think they would change their tune, call this ignorance.... I hope).
I could go on all day - but as a progressive I see nothing but a backwards culture full of psychologically ill Americans.
Whoever has ideological control of basically every single institution of cultural influence in our country needs to pay for all these things I find wrong with our culture.
