I only had 2 full time until July. Then I hired 2 more full time. One went on maternity leave in October.
The law student is part time and works on a per project basis (sets of discovery, motions, lawsuits, etc). So his costs are under "outside services" on my P&L.
My payroll will be about about double next year because all four will have worked a full year. My employee on maternity leave comes back first week of January.
All my staff are paid correctly on payroll with vacation, sick, workers comp, wage statements, etc. The law student is correctly classified as an ID because he works whenever he wants, has control over his schedule, works where he wants, etc. |

I create a very fun work environment and I am an easy guy to work for. I dont yell, Im social, I buy them lunch multiple times a week, I treat them with reapect, and they are my friends.
For example, my employee who just had a baby already has kids. I bought her a complete home office set up. I let her work from home anytime she needs and I am extremely flexable with her childcare needs. I also GAVE her my old car for free when she needed a second car. |
