It is odd because lambo/Bentley/Porsche/Audi/VW are all the same company as are RR/BMW.

RR (does not make anything remotely prole)/ lambo(same)/ Ferrari (portofino is entry level)/ McClaren (issues)/ Aston (issues)/ Bentley (continental drags it down some spots)/ Porsche (makes some cars on par with lambo/Ferrari/mcclaren but sells more Macans than anything so more like the rest of the list than the prestige brand/)/ MB/ BMW/ audi/ Volvo

LJL at this pathetic list that was obviously prepared by some prole. I'm surprised you didn't put Pagani or Koenigsegg at #1.

Lamborghini was a farm equipment manufacturer when Ferrari, Aston Martin and Porsche were winning championships at Le Mans.

The CR list is:

Ferrari > Porsche > Aston Martin > Mercedes Benz (due to their history and racing pedigree > Rolls Royce > Bentley > all the crap Lambo/Pagani types that were created in the 1990s > Audi (motorsport and development of TDI engine) > BMW > Maserati > Land Rover > Saab > Peugeot > VW > Volvo > Fiat > Renault

Honorable mention to Jaguar which sucks now but used to make great cars.

Learn some history about the manufacturers when trying to judge prestige instead of blindly following price points like a retarded prole.

Mostly cr but the problem with going entirely off racing history is that it would overstate Maserati, which is crap in current form.

My list takes into a bunch of considerations such as innovation, desirability among high-class consumers (not rappers), motorsports, etc. That's why Lamborghini fared well in my list given their absolute lack of racing and late entry into cars (innovation), whereas historically significant motorsport companies like Peugeot fared poorly due to their inability to make a decent high-end consumer vehicle.

Both Rolls Royce and Bentley have very limited racing pedigree, but did a lot of important shit like making the engine for the Spitfire and Hurricane during the Battle of Britain and also make very high end cars for royalty.

Ferrari is quite literally the perfect car manufacturer with both an impeccable racing pedigree and maming stunning and high performance passenger vehicles. Porsche obviously comes close, and in terms of history, is much "cooler" than Ferrari (Steve McQueen, James Dean being particular fanatics), but are hurt by their manufacture of Macan and Cayenne.

That said, I probably overrated Aston Martin since they are mostly insignificant these days, but I have a soft spot for British cars and they have an amazing history.

Also BMW, Maserati and Land Rover are a bit of a toss-up and could go either way between them. I gave the edge to BMW b/c they made a variety of high-end cars (including the amazing Z8) and also participate in motorsports, Maserati is a bit of an outsider and not really excelling at anything and Land Rover is far too limited in its range but is obviously boosted by the fact that the British royal family uses them.
