The only thing Koreans share with Jews are emphasis on close family, education, and to a far lesser extent, religion. The similarities end there.

Just to give you an example, when Jews move to a particular area, they cloister and form a local Jewish community. This community is focused on common societal values, helping each other, and advancing their people. It is a very tight-knit community, like a tribe. The most notable thing is, a Jew from one local community can easily find acceptance in another local community, and more so than that, each local community is focused on advancing not just themselves, but the entire Jewish community globally.

Koreans, at least superficially, appear to be the same. They cloister together, and wherever they go, they naturally find another group of Koreans to mingle with. However, that's where it ends. Deep down, Koreans hate each other (more on this later). There is a saying among Koreans in the USA...."the person you should trust the least is another Korean." Why? Because Korean-Americans deep down only care about themselves and their immediate family. They don't care what happens to other Korean-Americans in their own community, let alone across the nation.

A big part of this is, Korean-Americans literally hate each other. Most Korean-Americans are some form of refugee or criminal who fled Korea, or their descendants. They were the hated, despicable scamsters. So they view other Koreans in the US as people just like them, as scammers just like them who cannot be trusted. There are many illegal immigrants and literal criminal fugitives living in LA, Queens and Atlanta, and this has spread to Pheonix and Dallas.

Korean-Americans love to knock each other down. They overstate and lie to promote themselves, and get filled with intense jealousy and hatred when someone else does better than them. Part of this is because many of these immigrants are small-business owners (dry cleaners, liquor stores, restaurants) and they are in direct competition with each other, and they compete by doing shit like lowering their prices to drive each other out of business. They all go to the same church and act nice, but deep-down, they hate each other and are constantly getting into petty fights and arguments.

Not surprisingly, Korean-Americans are reviled in Korea. Everyone knows that the people who immigrated had some issue. Why else would you literally abandon your roots, family and culture to "start fresh" in a different country? They are viewed not only as losers, but sell-outs, for selling their bodies to the whiteman (women), but also for spreading a completely wrong idea about what Koreans are like (hehe we eat dogs in Korea hehe - despite the fact that this guy may have only spent 12 months of his entire life in Korea).

If you don't believe me, just go to any Korean-American church in Queens and ask people where they went to college. About half will not have graduated, 25% will be from some 5th tier college in Korea, 10% from SUNY and the other 10% will lie about having gone to like "Rutgers." The remaining 5% may have graduated from a decent US university. You won't find a single Seoul National University or Korea University grad among them.

Of course there are exceptions. Some Korean-Americans immigrated due to good jobs or education, and they are normal. But my experience with the Korean-American community in the US has been a nightmare and I would never do that again.

This is because Korea treated them like dirt and spat them out, so of course there's a lot of resentment. And the really pathetic thing is, occasionally there will come a time and place where it's somewhat beneficial to be Korean. Like with the recent trend of K-pop, or K-whatever. Or Gangnam Style. Then of course, these self-hating Koreans will do a complete 180 (did I mention they have no moral integrity and will sell out at every opportunity?) and be like "Korea Korea I am Korean!!!"

And of course when these people go back to Korea, whether on a visit or for whatever, they always resented the place to begin with, so they'll never seek to do anything meaningful and will just seek to take whatever they can and act like a bunch of idiots drinking soju and trying to sleep with anything that doesn't have a penis attached to it.

Which is why if you look carefully at college campuses, you'll notice that Korean-Americans, and FOB Koreans, never hang out, never socialize, don't even acknowledge each other. The FOBs recognize the Korean-Americans as the sell-outs that they are, and the Korean-Americans resent the FOBs b/c they are the ones that threw their parents out of the motherland. Similar to the dynamic between Aussies and Brits.

In short, how can Korean-Americans have any sense of community when they hate the very thing (Korean heritage) that supposedly binds them together?
