and OC is becoming like LA in terms of demographics. tons of hispanics everywhere now, including dana point, mission viejo, lake forest, etc. we can't afford newport beach just like we can't afford beverley hills. |

What I like: weather, the food, outdoor activites, Pasadena, the hills. People are relaxed and chill.
What I don't like: homeless and traffic and getting home from LAX. We're in La Canada and I work in downtown so it's not bad for me but try making plans to go anywhere else even the beaches, its traffic, traffic, traffic.

I like Pasadena but the schools are better in La Canada and it's an easy drive up the hills anyway and it's also a decent commute to the office. If we move the kids into private, which is a possibility, then I want one of the old houses in Pasadena. Truthfully it's not a bad existence. We never go to West LA or Santa Monica. It's a very different experience, I'm sure. On the other hand, it's a bit more normal where we are versus the West LA / Hollywood vibe.
If I had my way we'd be in one of the beach towns or Palos Verdes but I'm not putting up with the commute. |
